Programme overview

This training focuses on the higher-level skills of Microsoft Word. These include mail merge for letters and labels; the ability to co-author and review documents; and produce manuals and brochures with graphics.

Gain a greater understanding and skill base in Microsoft Word. Learn to create a greater range of documents, collaborate with others on the same document while keeping check of changes and change Word settings to best suit your organisational needs.

This course is designed for

People who are familiar with Microsoft Word and who want to increase their knowledge and skills on the features and options available.

Skills taught

The training is ‘hands on’ and covers the following:

  • the interface, tabs and ribbons
  • page setup and layout
  • styles and tables of contents
  • tab lists and more on tables
  • advanced character and paragraph formatting
  • different first page and different odd/even pages
  • track changes
  • graphics and alignment
  • saving and printing.

What to expect

This workshop is delivered over 2 sessions to small groups, not exceeding 5, with each person having their own computer to work with and a manual to support the learning. This training can be tailored to meet organisational training needs.
